GTA Online AFK accounts (Anawack)

On which version of GTA are you playing?

What is an AFK account?

Several GTA Online glitches need a second player sitting in a precise state : in a public session, in free aim, or waiting on the settings screen of an activity. An AFK account is a player who leaves their console on in exactly that state so that anyone can join them. The community calls them Anawack accounts, after the player who made the practice popular, and today "joining Anawack" simply means joining any AFK account.

How do you join one?

You open the profile of the account on the network you play on and join its session, without having to ask a friend to log in and sit still for you. On PlayStation, on PC and on Xbox Series X|S no friend request is needed. On Xbox One you have to be a friend of the account first, which is the one version where the list is harder to use. Note that PC Original and PC Enhanced are two separate versions of the game whose sessions don't mix, so pick the one you actually play on.

How often are the lists updated?

Every list is checked every few minutes : an account that stops answering leaves it, and each card says which session the account is in, which targeting mode it uses and whether it is in bad sport. Since the original Anawack accounts were banned the lists change very often, so it is worth opening the page again right before you start a glitch rather than relying on what you saw an hour ago.
